Simon Singer, CFP®, CAP®, RFC®

Simon Singer is not your typical Certified Financial Planner.  While most specialists in his industry take a first meeting and ardently try to sell what they think the client should have in her or his portfolio, Singer does just the opposite as he doesn’t try to sell them anything.  He simply listens.  Not simply to the words of these soon-to-be-clients, but he also turns in to the real meanings beneath them.  In Singer’s way of thinking - due to more than 35 years of experience guiding those of substantial means - he has come to realize that there is much to be learned by waiting and listening.   Sometimes he takes an entire day or two with his process.  Why?  Very often, Singer contends, people are not really clear on what they want to do with their money.  They have a sense about it but find it hard to articulate.  Simon helps them sort it out through his information gathering skills, and then with further input, designs a portfolio program that aligns appropriately to what his clients need.

Singer’s “wealth listener”`skills not only come in handy with his own client based - mostly millionaires - but also his other clients:  tax attorneys and accountants.  They need Simon’s assistance to act as a liaison, a translator and interpreter between themselves and their clients because often the communication falters.  The advisor can’t seem to connect the dots with his client, and similarly, the client can understand very little of what his advisor is saying.  This is often were Singer steps in by breaking down the information and bringing grater clarity to both sides.  His wisdom, savvy, and insight are the reasons why he is one of the most sought after Certified Financial Planners in his industry.
